Job purpose

To provide a full training service to the claims division to assist the development of the skills and knowledge required by staff at all levels to deliver the claims strategy and functional operating plans. To provide needs analysis, design and development, delivery, evaluation and the co-ordination of other training providers/resources, working with staff, managers and trainers from other parts of Groupama as appropriate.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing a Training Needs Analysis service to Managers and other staff, assisting them to identify departmental and individual training needs and create training plans that address agreed priorities, reflecting functional operating plans and performance management reviews.
  • Designing and delivering in-house solutions, where this is agreed to be the most appropriate and cost-effective approach, to agreed deadlines and reflecting functional operating plans, working independently, with other managers and staff, or with other company Training staff as required.
  • Providing a training administration service to the function, embracing training delivery and the provision of materials from other sources, such as other company trainers and external providers, to ensure identified priority needs are met in timely and appropriate fashion.
  • Assisting Managers in validating and evaluating training that has been provided, contributing to the wider management control process by ensuring that identified needs have been met, agreed benefits have been delivered and any unresolved issues or remedial requirements are identified and acted upon.
  • Staying abreast of training methods and best practice to identify appropriate applications that will benefit the function, by maintaining effective contacts with other company Training staff and relevant external organisations.
  • Assisting the function's managers/staff in developing the desired relationships with other Company and Claims functions, facilitating effective two-way communication both internally and externally between own function and customers, staff, service providers and regulatory authorities.
  • Any other ad hoc duties within your capabilities that are relevant to the job and reasonably requested of you by your manager.

Essential Technical Skills

Desirable Technical Skills

  • CIPD, TAP Qualification or similar.
  • Insurance Claims experience.
  • MS Office applications experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of up to date training practices
  • 2 years minimum experience of designing and delivering effective training solutions.
  • Experience of needs analysis & training validation/evaluation methodologies.

Circumstances

Flexibility to allow for off site events and possible overnight stays.
