Our Generalist Scheme will give you the opportunity to train and develop in one of our core business areas - Underwriting, Claims or Healthcare.

Groupama Healthcare

Groupama Healthcare is now the UK's eighth largest private medical insurer. The company employs over 100 people at its centre in Letchworth. Groupama Healthcare offers innovative private medical insurance products through professional insurance intermediaries and corporate partners.

As a graduate joining our healthcare division you will have the opportunity to work in the various departments of our business and will work closely with the Claims, Underwriting and Membership teams. Through our structured training and development programme you will study towards gaining a professional qualification and will be given the skills to become a leader of tomorrow.

Claims

To our customers, our claims teams are the face of Groupama. We are proud of our efficient and professional claims service and work hard to ensure that our customers receive the best level of service.

But the customer facing teams are just part of the picture. The people in these teams work alongside specialists on motor, household, personal accident, healthcare and travel. We have people who lead our innovation and delivery across a wide range of activities; monitoring potential fraudulent claims using the latest software techniques, supply chain management for the wide variety of goods and services we purchase, project management, operational excellence, cost benefit analysis. All of this activity and more comes together to make up our Claims department. Varied, challenging, delivery focused, team orientated it is...Boring it definitely isn't!

You will benefit from working closely with the Claims management team and have the opportunity to utilise your analytical, evaluation and people skills to strengthen the Claims service we provide. This is a hands-on role where you will be given the opportunity to make a real difference.

Underwriting

Underwriting capability has a massive impact on the profitability and competitiveness of an insurance company. Underwriters assess risks and decide whether to accept applications for insurance cover - and on what terms.

Supporting either Personal or Commercial Lines teams, you will give analytical support that will inform top level business decisions. As well as providing monthly competitor analysis, you will have responsibility for managing databases and programming systems to allow data to be manipulated effectively. You will also be involved in ad hoc projects and undertake statistical analyses on behalf of Head Office underwriters.
You will also be offered full study support to work towards your CII qualification

Entry requirements: You will have gained or be expecting to gain a 2:1 degree or above in a maths, statistical, science, engineering or other numerate degree and you will have a minimum of 280 UCAS points.
