Groupama Insurances are one of the six founder companies who worked with Polaris to launch and promote imarket - the industry electronic trading initiative that is changing the way we all operate in the UK's general insurance market.

Registering to use imarket provides intermediaries with secure access to the electronic trading services of several insurers using a single sign on.  Services available vary by insurer but include online quotations, immediate cover confirmation, policy issue, and such things as stationery requests.  Over 800 services are already available from the various insurers but continued development has seen the integration of insurer services through Broker Software Houses to achieve straight through processing of risks and access to various insurers' claims tracking claims tracking and accounts reconciliation services.

The best news of all is that it is FREE.  All brokers need is an internet capable PC and a browser to start trading.  Alternatively, most broker software systems are integrated with imarket either from simple click throughs or more sophisticated linkages.  Your software provider will be happy to tell you more.
