Help is just a phone call away

At Groupama we know that more SME business is being placed online and we have fully embraced this with developments to our extranet -Optima Online.

However, we recognise not all enquiries ‘fit the system’ and there is nothing more frustrating than when the “computer says no”. We know that over 50% of commercial business for Tradesman, Small Fleet and package business is completed end-to-end online, but that still leaves up to 50% where there may be a query or concern over how to place the business or about the underwriting criteria.

Guiding you through Optima Online

To resolve this and increase the efficiency of our online offering, we have created our Broker Trading Team. The new team can provide telephone answers about Optima Online, guiding you through the process, whatever stage of the transaction you’re at. They will also give technical advice on how to use Optima Online and the best way to place business with us for the risks that fall outside our online underwriting criteria.

Extranet training for brokers

Within the team are dedicated specialist extranet trainers who are available to visit brokers’ offices to provide online training and support to enable you to maximise the potential of online trading.

The team will be headed up by Anita Fenna, who will be working in conjunction with our key account management team. Anita has been with Groupama for three years and has previously held roles in Allianz and Zurich where she developed both package, motor and commercial combined business.

Paul Angus, Steven Holland and Vicky Mills also join the team, bringing with them a wealth of underwriting experience and technical skills.

The new Broker Trading Team, our ‘Guide to Groupama’ (find out more on page 8) and our latest broker training initiative are designed to remove any barriers to business and ensure that when a business partner needs some help or wants to place business quickly, we are literally just a phone call away.

Later this year... full cycle capabilities on Optima Online

Optima Trade and Professional is currently in pilot phase and will be the first of our Optima products to have full cycle capability.

Online permanent mid-term adjustment processing (except cancellations)
Ability to generate online documentation for mid-term adjustments and renewal transactions
Ability to re-quote and process renewal amendments online (except lapses)
Ability to confirm renewal acceptance
