System to be extended to Fleet Claims in 2008
In a move designed to further enhance the efficiency of its award-winning claims handling operations, Groupama Insurances has successfully completed the first phase implementation of a new state-of-the-art claims document management system from Capita Total Document Solutions.
The market-leading system allows all scanned or electronic documents related to private motor claims to be managed electronically in line with industry standard processes whilst allowing configuration with Groupama's own claims practices. This means millions of individual claims documents can now be accessed in seconds by Groupama's claims teams.
Graham Gibson, Claims Director at Groupama Insurances comments: "The claims imaging system from CTDS was chosen based on its simplicity and use of the latest technology to address the exacting requirements of our business. This has significantly improved the speed and quality of document scanning, storage and retrieval supporting Groupama's claims teams in the delivery of a smooth, efficient claims process for our private motor policyholders."
Whilst the key benefit of the system is an improved claims experience for policyholders, Groupama has also been able to reduce costs for paper storage and duplication, meet compliance and legal requirements cost-effectively and provided greater security. The next phase will be to roll out the system to assist in the management of Fleet claims.
Graham Gibson concludes: "At Groupama, we are committed to enhancing the claims experience for our customers by improving efficiencies through the adoption of new technologies. This contract perfectly demonstrates that commitment."
Mark Breen, Associate Director, Development of CTDS adds: "To deliver Groupama's goals of improved customer experience and increased operational productivity, we forged a partnership that was committed to success. In meeting the exacting client requirements and high quality standards, CTDS has taken its Swordfish EDM system to a new level of excellence."
