The current rating of Groupama SA in France is not a reflection of the strong trading and solvency position of our UK business. The solvency margin in the UK for Groupama Insurances is currently 201%, twice the current regulatory requirement and it is effectively ring fenced from the rest of the Group by the UK's regulatory regime.
The investment portfolio for our UK business is held in Sterling and is not exposed to the same Euro zone issues as Groupama Group or many of our competitors. This combined with the fact that we continue to perform strongly and deliver growing profits, means that Groupama Insurances is firmly on track to demonstrate a really positive position at the end of 2011 and will continue to offer excellent security for our brokers and policyholders.
