Groupama revs up motorcycle
Ian Pritchard appointed as Development Underwriter
Groupama Insurances has bolstered its private motor team with the appointment of Ian Pritchard as Development Underwriter. His remit is to develop all aspects of private motor business through Groupama's brokers with a specific focus on developing the company's specialist motor cycle account. Ian reports to Andrew Fletcher, Head of Private Motor at Groupama.
Bringing nearly 12 years underwriting experience to his new role at Groupama, Ian joins from Capita Insurance Distribution where he was responsible for insurer relations management. Prior to this, he was Deputy Underwriter at KGM Motor Policies. He has also been an underwriter at Equity Red Star.
Andrew Fletcher said: "This appointment demonstrates Groupama's commitment to the profitable growth of our private motor business and in particular, our motor cycle account.. We are delighted to have someone of Ian's quality to boost the team and bring his particular knowledge and skills to our growing motorcycle portfolio."
Ian Pritchard added: "Private motor insurance is a testing sector for the industry and the fact that motorcycle is very seasonal brings additional challenges.
